The multi-use community building at the Ace Sand site will be a flexible public facility, serving a wide range of uses. The second-floor event space can accommodate conferences, weddings, or other functions from small to large groups. Designed to the highest standards of resilience and sustainability, the building’s efficient envelope and advanced systems will be powered entirely by solar energy. Bridging over environmentally sensitive parts of the site, the mass timber and wood truss structure will provide sweeping views up and down the river, particularly from the stormwater-absorbing rooftop garden.
